Section 9
Formation of Promotion Committee
(1) To promote international financial transactions and develop Nepal as an international financial transaction center, an International Financial Transaction Promotion Committee shall be constituted with the following members:-
(a) Meaning Minister or Minister of State for Finance – Chairman
(b) ………
(c) Vice Chairman, National Planning Commission – Member
(d) Governor, Nepal Bank – Member
(e) Secretary, Ministry of Finance – Member
(f) Secretary, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs – Member
(g) One member nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the people with experience in financial transactions (2) The promotion committee may invite domestic or foreign experts or consultants involved in international financial transactions to participate as observers in the meetings of the promotion committee. >
(3) According to clause (g) of sub-section (1), the term of office of the nominated member shall be two years.
